Whatever Happened to Democracy and Journalism?

Anti-UKIP Bias and out and out fibs in the media are not restricted to TV and national newspapers, even the local press are at it, take for example, Maxine Irving's column, Maxine's Week, Wells Journal, 5th June, 2014.

She seems to think we should appreciate her "wisdom" that she is not happy (and implies therefore that we shouldn't be happy either) that UKIP could end up running things.

Why did Maxine tell us "Wily old Tory Kenneth Clarke ... wisely said ... only 1 in 10 voted UKIP ...". Is she saying he is wise because he is pro-EU? Why is that wise? Because it agrees with Maxine's opinion?

Maxine then goes on to ask the public "Why are UKIP supporters so anti-Europe?  That question contains within it a huge lie! UKIP are NOT anti-Europe, they are anti-EU, a very different concept. Maxine wraps up in her question the thought that UKIP are against the people of Europe, anti-Foreigner, not only is that too a lie but its a very nasty one, intended to engender negative feelings in the minds of the public, for no other reason than UKIP have the audacity to disagree with Maxine's view.

As for the other part of her question, "Why did so many people vote for the party?" I shall ignore that this sounds like she thinks there is something wrong with people who vote UKIP; but I can help her with some of the reasons people do so.

UKIP are anti-EU because the EU is anti-democratic. The EU Commission is unelected, yet creates much of the legislation that is forced upon the member states, including of course, the UK. The "European Council" has a president, Herman Van Rompuy, but no one elected him, certainly the citizens of the EU did not. The EU parliament has over 700 MEPs, but they cannot create legislation. At best they can only delay it. If they try to block legislation the EU Commission wants, the Commission will keep bringing it back until it is agreed.

The self-appointed masters and architects of the EU regard the citizens of Europe as a nuisance at best. When Ireland said "No" in their famous referendum, the EU informed them that was the wrong answer and to go away and do it again. The vice president of the EU Commission, Viviane Reding has told us, "We need to build a United States of Europe with the Commission as government"; this sounds more like the USSR with the EU Commission being its Polit Bureau, an EUSSR if you will!  

Regarding our laws, despite the ludicrous claims of Nick Clegg, Viviane Reding herself tells us, "Seventy per cent of the laws in this country (she meant the UK - she was in London at the time of her statement) are co-decided by the European Parliament".

Regarding immigration, UKIP are NOT racist, but they do see that unqualified, unfiltered (e.g. no criminals please!), mass immigration does not make any sense. I find it strange that the political left think other people's cultures should "celebrated" whilst at the same time, they are happy to have our own culture consigned to history. Many of the key people in the EU openly want to see our country destroyed as a nation state; Peter Sutherland, the EU's "migration chief", has said "The EU should "do its best to undermine the 'homogeneity'of its member states.".

We did not get to vote on any of this.

Next, Maxine tries to brand anyone that wants to defy this EUSSR Socialist empire, (i.e., anyone that votes UKIP) as a bunch of people, living in the past who "yearn for the days of Empire, when Britain ruled the waves" and that they "really believe that turning the clock back would solve all our ills." ... Well Maxine, one thing is for sure, the EU will not solve anything. But your claim is ludicrous. All UKIP want to happen, is for the people of the UK to have their say in the running of the UK, and not to be dictated to by people in Brussels that were never voted in and we cannot vote out. Is that so bad?

Maxine goes on to say people voted for UKIP because of immigration and then informs us immediately that if there is one thing that annoys her more than anything - its racism. The blatant lie, that deliberate and mischievous association, that UKIP are racist, is all the left and the Lib Dems have remaining with which to fight UKIP. But it is dirty tactics. It is cruel, underhanded and nasty, and it is a deception of which the left and the Lib Dems should be thoroughly ashamed. 

Maxine, UKIP cannot abide racism either! Yes, there have been much publicised accounts in the anti-UKIP media of racists among the membership. But what the media don't say is that UKIP deal with the racists, unlike the other parties.

Maxine is quite correct to tell us that Britain has always been a nation of immigrants; the difference is, over the last two decades, it has been the sheer numbers over a very short space of time that has alarmed people, and rightly so. Who asked the people already here, (of all ethnic origins) if they wanted further huge waves of immigration? Are we not allowed an opinion? Does political correctness over-rule the rights of ordinary people to express an opinion? What other countries allow immigrants into their country, with no work, no money, some with criminal backgrounds? None, except perhaps other members of the EU who have lost control of their own country just as we have, just because the EU Commission have decreed it.

So, being unable any more to counter the arguments, the "progressive" left try to silence the "UKIP threat" with wild accusations and those old debate-ending keywords, "racists", "xenophobes" etc. Well those old silencing words do not kill the debate any more. People are waking up to the lies of the "politically correct" and the failed "multicultural" experiment. People have had enough of being told to shut up and accept what the EU decides. They are sick of it. 

UKIP threaten the old establishment. That terrified establishment doesn't like these upstarts muscling in on the old three party game. But they don't know how to handle them. They try calling them "far right" when in fact UKIP do not belong to any poltical "wing". They are a libertarian party drawing their membership from across the whole political spectrum. And people are liking what they hear. UKIP is relatively new and for that reason sometimes gets things wrong, but they will stand up and admit it and then put it right. A far cry from the shifty and deceitful, corrupt old parties.

So Maxine, UKIP do not have a problem with the colour of anyone's skin; I suggest you check out the swollen ranks of new UKIP MEPs, even you might have a surprise.

Next up, Maxine paints for us a picture of hard working Poles and Romanians carrying out "back-breaking work" in our Lincolnshire fields. This is a popular myth peddled again by the left and the Lib Dems. Apparently, these fearless, hard-working Eastern Europeans come to Britain to do the jobs on the minimum wage or less, that our own terrible, idle British people won't do. These EU workers are filling the exchequer with much needed tax revenues, again, apparently. Yet examination of this oft-repeated myth reveals the truth, even if it is less romantic. If these workers are working for the minimum wage or less, they will be unlikely to be contributing much to our exchequer, indeed, they are more likely to be recipients of "in-work benefits", as they will be classed as being on low incomes. I should also point out that many of them also claim child-benefit for any children back in their home country and send the money back home to them.

A popular trick that has been widely distributed back to Eastern European countries and is now commonly used, is that people come here and look for jobs of a maximum of 16 hours per week. They then top up their income with in-work benefits as well as taking on "casual work".The income they end up on is huge compared to that they can make back in their own countries. As one young Polish person said to me, "I can't believe how stupid your government is!". Well, you know what? neither can I.

And does Maxine seriously expect us to believe the crops in the fields of Lincolnshire were left to rot before the days the eastern Europeans came to rescue them? Again, utter nonsense.  But don't let the truth get in the way of a good anti-UKIP message, ay Maxine?

No one is blaming strangers for all our ills. I do not blame the huge numbers of immigrants that come here for better lives, who wouldn't?  I blame successive governments for their corruption and social experiments that have laid waste to this once great country. All the main parties have abandoned their core voters. Labour, once the champions of the working class, now hate their old supporters, referring to them, as Gordon Brown demonstrated with Gillian Duffy when, just because she expressed concern about mass immigration, Brown commented, "she was just a sort of bigoted woman". This is the same mass immigration, started by Labour, by their own admission, "to rub the right's nose in diversity" ... and presumably to bring in much needed grateful voters to replace those Labour have abandoned!

Yes, I shall be voting UKIP in future and I am proud to do so, because they offer common sense rather than the destructive policies of the self-serving career politicians who have got things so badly wrong; I could forgive them if they cared or regretted the damage they have done, but they do not. They all jockey for cushy jobs on the EU gravy train which is why all parties except UKIP want the Socialist federal empire-building EU.

On a final note, when are we going to get back to reporting the truth in journalism? Call me naive, but there was a day, I remember, when lies to garner support for favourite parties were frowned upon. Yes, there have always been "Opinion Columns" and party allegiances in the press, but the vast mess of lies that fills the pages of much of the press these days is breath-taking and depressing.

I hope to see a day when the Union flag flies over the House of Commons for a reason, rather than an old symbol of what used to be.

Democracy in the UK is in Extreme Danger

The UK elections for the EU sand the local elections will soon be upon us. And I am alarmed how far we have sleep-walked into the destruction of the nation state in Europe. I was once a lifelong tory as I said in my previous post, but I finally awoke to the huge con being perpetrated against the british people by the old establishment. Slowly, the UK is being dismantled. It is shocking enough to realise this is happening thanks to the European Union.

Even more shocking, the old UK political parties are hand in glove with the EU. None of the two and a half main parties wants us, the Brisih people to have ANY say in how our country is run. They are now embarked on a programme of lies and deception to avoid us realising the truth. Labour are not interested in a referendum on our membership of the EU. The LibDems are proud of their standpoint that we should rush ever deeper into the EU. For them, the ultimate goal is a full signup to a "United States of Europe", something that would be more akin to the EUSSR.

Considering their past, the Conservatives are even more sinister in their views and actions, at least the LibDems are open about it; the Tories would offer us a referendum, but only if we allow them to blackmail us in to voting for them in 2015 first! Further, what they do not emphasise is that even if we did vote for them, we would not be able to have our say in a referendum, until they had at least two years to indoctrinate us into loving the EU, for which they would be actively campaigning for us to stay in.

So where is the balance?

 Until recently, there has been no balance. The main parties have been busily selling us down the river in exchange for nice, lucrative jobs for themselves and their families in the EU. What has happened to the principles politicians of decades ago? The ones that, whether we agreed with them or not, we knew occupied an honourable position, true to themselves and their supporters? It is as though, like in some frightening Sci-Fi film, our politicians have been taken over by some surreal body-snatchers-style plot; all the old parties have deserted their traditional core supporters. The Conservatives, once proud of their patriotism; their respect for the hard working people, for law and order, defence of the realm and their general desire for fair play, have abandoned the middle classes in their thirst for more doses of the EU, whilst pretending at home to be fighting Britain's corner. Gentle prodding of their thin veneer reveals a very different picture!

Labour too have followed the EU, politically correct, Multi-Culty vision of open borders, ever closer Union with the EU and an insatiable thirst for more of the same. This too is very sureal! Labour was once the proud leader of the working class, battling with the business barons to ensure, as they saw it, fair play for the under-dog. Now, "New" Labour despise their old supporters. As Gordon Brown showed in 2010. Labour now regard the working class as racists, xenophobes and bigots.

This apparent suicidal turning against its core voters had to be compensated for if Labour were not to disappear from the political landscape and so they embarked on a huge programme of mass, uncontrolled immigration; scouts were sent around the world to encourage as many people as possible to come to Britain for a promised better life. Not only did this achieve Labour's stated objective of "rubbing the Tories noses in diversity" but it has supplied Labour with a huge supply of grateful and loyal voters; voters who often feel no loyalty to the UK, but simply view it as their leg up in the world. And of course, they will vote ethusiastically for the party that made their change in fortune happen.

 Which brings us to the Liberal Democrats; an opportunist party that seeks power for its own sake, to satisfy an ancient hunger to bring the spoils of power to their table, at any cost. The LibDems have left a stream of broken promises in their wake, not least their betrayal of students over tuition fees. Like a group of political tarts, the LibDems will hook onto any party that will give them the power they crave and their ticket aboard the EU Gravy Train.

But at last, in true legendary style, a British hero as rode into in the smouldering embers of our once great and beautiful country. This white knight has joined battle and rallied the weary British people. Nigel Farage has galvanised public opinion and the establishment hate him for it. He and his party, UKIP, have upset the applecart of the so-called main parties, and how the "establishment" is fighting back; and they are fighting dirty! The gloves are off and no trick is too dirty, no lie too immoral. By hook or by crook, they intend to bring down this modern day St George before he gets his opportunity to slay the pro-EU dragon. Every weapon has been brought into play. Social media is awash with ant-UKIP warriors, many paid by the "establishment" and openly by the EU; intent on deflecting public opinion away from UKIP before their ideas get too deep a hold.

Individuals, often referred to as "lefties" by UKIP supporters, are engaged in endless battles of words with the growing "People's Army" of UKIP. Many of these so-called lefties are in fact anarchists, unable to conceal their glee at seeing the fabric of British society, traditions and institutions being laid waste by the hordes of Europhiles and EU Bureaucrats; these anti-British agents show a terrifying pleasure, like a toddler with a huge stick and a massive box of eggs, they demolish one symbol of Britishness after another. Anyone raising a word in protest, is subjected to a spray of obscene venom that would make beelzebub's hair curl.

But now, the British are awake! Taking up the call of Nigel Farage and UKIP, they are fighting back. The usual weapons utilised by the left and pro-EU fascists, screams of "racist!", "xenophobe!" and "bigot" are bouncing off UKIP. For decades these abusive, but false names have suppressed debate on everything the establisment and it's EU masters deems "inappropriate". But the flags of "political correctness" are now burning; and not before time.

The media, largely under the malevolent influence of "the Left" and the EU communists have tried their best (or should that be their worst?) to keep the march of the EU throughout Europe on track; to complete the rout of democracy from the once great nations of western Europe, whilst at the same time, hiding the facts from the people. But now the British people are seeing through this complex tissue of lies. Nigel Farage, UKIP and the People's army are doing battle with the now openly anti-British establishment. This "new" (it recently celebrated its twentieth birthday) People's Army is on the march. It is now without fear and confident in its non-racist identity and shields are no longer needed to deflect the insults and false accusations. 

The old order is now in a state of blind panic. The unlected leaders in the EU are now in a hurry to close the gates before Nigel Farage's troops storm through. Famously, the unelected Vice-President of the EU Commission, one Vivian Reding, has "announced" recently, "We must build a United States of Europe with the Commission as Government". The EU elite are in a state of confusion. The order has been sent out to discredit Nigel Farage and his followers. UKIP councillors are ridiculed for "odd" beliefs etc., (despite this not being a problem when the same councillors, said the same odd things when they were councillors for the Tory party!).

Whilst we are on the subject, there is none so strange as the Labour councillor who claims he has fathered a child by an extra-terrestrial and that his mother is a nine foot green alien with eight fingers! http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/10488568.Whitby_councillor_claims_to_have_fathered_alien_child/ Yet the media focus steadfastly only on the UKIP stories.

In a minor interview with an radio "presenter", an openly left-wing person, unable to hold a balanced interview if his life depended on it, Nigel Farage was subjected to a personal attack, that should have made the stations bosses very annoyed, to put it mildly; strangely, despite the overwhelmingly negative comments toward this presenter, nothing has been done. A newspaper, once carrying pictures of Romanians immigrants in a negative light, now attack Nigel Farage for doing far less! It seems the body-snatchers are spreading.

A TV News presenter oozed her support on Twitter, for the the Farage attacker, saying how she "absolutely LOVED" his "interview" and asked him to join her for more Farage-bashing!

Fortunately, the people are not believing the lies, indeed, they are becoming incensed by them and they will fight back through the ballot box. It is only now, with the vicious attacks against UKIP out in the open, that people realise that the removal of our democracy is almost complete. Only a vote for UKIP can reverse the destruction of our country, as a sovereign nation state.

My God, the "Establishment" are sooo scared!

I cannot believe I was once a "Lifer-Conservative!". I will go further, I am ashamed of the fact! Like many proud people of the UK, I was guilty of trundling along, ignoring the increasing threat from the EU! I cannot remember what shook me out of my EU Sleep Walk! All I can say is I am glad it happened!

Nigel Farage is ridiculed by the pro-EU establishment, simply because he has the nerve to question their self-imposed right to rule the member states of the EU, despite the fact, few people have ever expressed a wish to be so-governed!

I am particularly annoyed as my wonderful country has fought for centuries to free itself from the tyranny of would-be rulers to ensure that Great Britain controls its own destiny. There are many "anti-UK" elements who seek to undermine the rights of the UK population, not least the would-be rulers of the EUSSR, otherwise known as the EU!

I can no longer countenance looking at Liberal, Labour nor Conservative ideas for the future of my lovely country. None of these parties give a damn for the future of the UK. They are all sold on the false "EU". If that is all I have left to look forward to, I may as well bale out now!

If you care, even only a little, about your country, please make your thoughts felt! Take the time to complain! Make yourself heard in "social media"! Take that little bit of effort to make people know you love your country!

Oh England my England, what have they done to you?

My wonderful British Isles, what have they done to you?

Pride, discipline and self-reliance have all gone. Only our monarch still stands proud at the helm of this once great nation. The "Government" is a hopeless rabble of self-serving sycophants, interested only in their own miserable careers. The people have been forgotten, down-trodden; nay abused! The law is no longer decided by the remnants of our so-called parliament, but by some sinister group operating almost in secret, deep in the heart of Europe.

Great Britain was a country that stood up to all those that would dream of over-powering her. Now she squeaks feebly in the corner, afraid even to speak, so as not to offend.

Britain, run by these foreign pip-squeaks of the European Union, is weak; its people desperate for leadership, yet they are ignored by its own politicians, who merely squabble about who can leap highest when "Brussels" says jump and who's only other function is to line their pockets with tax-payers money. Britain has to carry out rules handed down from this central Politburo style EUSSR headquarters, there is no debate in Westminster. Our excuse for a government simply rubber stamps laws it is given.

Law and order has broken down almost entirely. The death penalty, long ago abolished for being "barbaric", was replaced with a "full life sentence", Now even that is called barbaric. Soon, a stern look, or a wag of the finger from a judge will be deemed barbaric.

A thing called "political correctness" has taken hold of the nation, driven by people who have taken leave of their senses. A blackboard has become a "whiteboard", or a chalkboard, as any noun, containing the word "black" is apparently offensive to black people; or at least, the taskmasters of the political correct "thought police" are offended on behalf of those who, apparently, are themselves mystified by such inane logic, or should that be insane logic?  I cannot get my head around this concept; a bald man is follically challenged, a person of who can't be bothered to attend school has "learning difficulties", the feckless are termed "deprived", the single parent is described as an alternative family model. All life-styles are now acceptable and politicians fall over themselves to pretend they love these new "lifestyles" in the selfish hope they will get votes.

One thing that stands out now is that no one is ever to blame, for anything, that is, unless you are a working taxpayer. If you are one of those, everything is your fault! Compensation culture has gummed up the works of the courts, with people walking out of courts, their pockets and purses filled with thousands of pounds or our money, for damaged fingernails and the like, despite them being damaged usually by their own stupidity. 

Discipline in schools has been outlawed, so kids run riot, kids who have however been taught all about their "rights", yet nothing about responsibilities. Now "society" is mystified by the wayward and criminal behaviour of much of its youth.

Now, the biggest elephant in the room is immigration. Britain has always had people crossing its borders for one reason or another. We have been invaded at various times and this has, over thousands of years, shaped who and what we are. More recently however, there has been a sharp increase in the numbers of people coming to these islands. In terms of European immigration, we apparently can do nothing about this,as we are signed up to the "do as you're told club" run by the unelected bureaucrats in Brussels. The rest of the world come here too, health tourists, holiday over-stayers, scam marriage clients, "asylum seekers" and the "we hate you and your country, can we come and live there please" Muslims.

The Government and the opposition are all signed up to this UK self-destruction charter and the only party, saying anything different and who are also non-racist is UKIP. So if you want a fighting chance of rescuing anything of what is left of our once great country, you might want to consider voting for them. Be prepared though for some dirty tricks in the run up to the elections, (Euro elections in May 2014 and the General Election in 2015). The usual parties, who have thus far, operated a closed shop between them,  will be hurling lies and manufactured stories, "Nigel Farage's cat was a Nazi". etc. into the media to try to derail UKIP. So, focus on your country and discard the lies! But watch Nigel Farage in action; he is one of the few politicians who speaks up for Britain. Someone, (can't recall who?!), once said, "England expects, every man shall do his duty ...".
